Brassic Calls it a Day with Tarantino-Inspired Last Episode

Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst are bringing the curtain down on their comedy series about a close-knit group of likable chancers running riot in a countryside town in Lancashire. You might expect the last episode to be a nostalgic highlight reel of booze, drugs and cheeky thievery. However, the vibes are distinctly darker as the character Vinnie, played by Gilgun and the gang hole up in a bar with gangster Davey MacDonagh for a final 50th installment apparently inspired by Quentin Tarantino.

The Show Dragons' Den

8pm on BBC One
Ballet dancers leap into the den this week, as single mothers Laura and Stacey pitch their range of inclusive dancewear – and cause Peter Jones to become flustered. Then, an ophthalmologist turned innovator has a smart device for misplaced tape edges.

All Creatures Great and Small

9pm on Channel 5
The veterinary adventures are all fine, but this excellent historical series proves its worth with tender character work. A particularly affecting episode intertwines the tales of a injured draft horse and a vanished calf into a deeper plotline focusing on Tristan, whose behaviour prompts a fraternal intervention.

The Hack

9pm, ITV1
It’s been a long road. But the penultimate episode of this initially sluggish but eventually gripping phone-hacking drama sees David Tennant’s Nick discovering details about the News of the World’s conduct that the rest of the media simply can’t ignore. The situation improves for Dave, who has a surprising new ally.

RuPaul's Drag Race UK

9pm, BBC Three
Jazz hands at the ready: it’s time to stage Peter Pansy – The Rusical! That means the stress increases for the queens to perform vocally, dance, and act and finally impress as they prepare for the production. And who better to guest judge than West End stage legend Mazz Murray, alongside Graham Norton, Michelle Visage and RuPaul.

The Iris Affair

9pm, Sky Atlantic
Those with a phobia of creepy crawlies will want to skip ahead as the sixth episode starts, before a tense standoff, reminiscent of a Mexican or Sardinian scenario ensues, when Cameron forces Iris to exchange her journal for the hostaged Joy – else she’ll be “shot repeatedly” from Meski’s menacing drone … How to get out of this one?
