Spurs Manager Thomas Frank Calls Vicario Booers 'Not True Real Fans'
The Cottagers Start Strong to Beat Spurs and Increase Tension on the Manager
Tottenham Hotspur supporters who jeered goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario were informed later "those individuals cannot be real Tottenham supporters" by boss Frank.
Spurs let in a pair of scores in the opening initial moments to lose 2-1 to their opponents, registering their tenth top-flight home defeat of the year.
However the main topic of discussion was Fulham's second goal when the keeper lost possession far outside his box.
The goalkeeper ventured out to deal with a long ball and carried the ball towards the touchline.
But, rather than kicking it out of play, the Italian turned and attempted to clear, but lost his footing as the ball skimmed off Harry Wilson and was collected by Josh King.
King laid the ball off to Welsh midfield player Harry Wilson, who bent a shot into the net from the touchline recorded at thirty-six point six metres.
Moments afterwards when the ball came to Vicario once more, some Tottenham supporters booed him.
Spurs were booed off at half-time, with the side 2-0 down, and once more at the final whistle.
One of those booing sessions really irritated Frank.
"It came to my attention some of our supporters reportedly booed the incident and booed following, which, in my opinion is totally unjustifiable," the Danish manager stated about the supporters' reaction to his goalkeeper.
"[They] can't be true Tottenham supporters that act that way. Fair enough booing following the game, no problem, but when we are playing, we are supporting one another, we are with each other going forward."
Kenny Tete had handed Fulham a fourth-minute advantage prior to Wilson's strike – with Kudus scoring for Tottenham in an improved second-half performance.
Ex- Premier League goalkeeper Hart stated that the next goal was "totally avoidable".
"I do understand the fans' disappointment," Hart added. "I am aware the role Vicario is performing. He is a great squad member, he's a real leader in the locker room but ultimately you are going to be judged by your decisions.
"He was deeply involved in what turned out to be the decisive goal."

Thomas Frank Defended His Goalkeeper Vicario Following the Game
Italy national team Vicario is in his third season with Tottenham.
The 29-year-old stated after the match that he had to take the feedback.
"That goal was a mistake of mine, I accept accountability for it," he commented.
"My aim was to clear the ball far and I simply struck the ball in a poor way. That made an more difficult mountain to overcome."
He stated being booed "is part of the game".
"I'm a big man, how can I respond?" he added. "The team can't be affected by the circumstances in the stands. Supporters have the entitlement to do as they see fit.
"It is on the team to stay more calm, to concentrate on our own performance. The team is lacking in calmness and poise to reverse outcomes. Today is a poor defeat and it is tough to accept."
'It Shocked Me No One Returned to the Goal Line'
Despite Vicario's error, it was not an simple score for Wilson to convert.
In fact it was the next longest-range Premier League goal of the campaign – following Tyler Adams' 43.3 yard strike for Bournemouth against Sunderland, which incidentally too occurred on Saturday.
Wilson said he was "somewhat surprised" that he still had an open net to target.
Ten seconds passed between the keeper coming out of his area and the midfielder striking – which was five seconds after the clearance.
"It seemed to me like the goalkeeper was out of the box for a long time," Wilson remarked.
"I was surprised not one of the back four went back to the line. When none of them covered the goal, my eyes sparked somewhat.
"[Destiny] Udogie slipped too, which allowed me a little extra opportunity. After that it was solely about trying to achieve the right connection and place it on target. I felt a positive feeling, the moment it came off my foot, that it was heading in."

Jeering Whilst We Are Still Playing Is Totally Unjustifiable - the Manager
Although Vicario's error led coverage, this was an all-round bad day for Spurs to continue their home struggles.
The match was their 10th at home defeat of the year in the Premier League, a joint club record matching nineteen ninety-four and 2003.
The side still have home games against Frank's former club Brentford and title holders Liverpool to come prior to the close of the year.
Just a single of those wins have occurred since the manager took over from his predecessor in the summer.
"If you are down 2-0 after six minutes, there is a huge challenge to climb," said the boss.
"When you're in a bad spell, all aspects appears to go against you too – the first was a redirected shot, the second is a mistake from the keeper.
"This result puts us in a place where we have lost an additional game. Each fixture has a unique narrative, this game we lost in the early stages.
"We just need to continue striving. The second half was significantly improved and hopefully something we can use to learn."
Tottenham have been defeated in 4 straight at home capital clashes for the first time in the Premier League.
And they are recording nine point five attempts and 3.2 shots on target per match in the division – their lowest rates on record in a one season (dating back to 2003-04).
Ex- Fulham midfielder Murphy stated that the manager has to endure the criticism.
"He's got accept the criticism," Murphy remarked. "He has accepted a prestigious role at a huge team with massive expectation. There is scrutiny and duty that comes with that.
"Their showings at their stadium have been poor and they have to get better {quickly|
