The Red Devils Poised to Secure Germany Striker Lea Schüller from the Bavarian Giants
Manchester United are on the verge of completing the signing for prolific Germany forward Lea Schüller in a permanent move from the Frauen-Bundesliga champions.
A Marquee Signing for the WSL Side
The forward, with half a year left on her contract, is known as a consistent goalscorer for both club and country. Having netted over 100 goals for Bayern and scored 54 times in 82 caps for Germany. Her arrival will be seen as a marquee coup for the Women’s Super League team.
Departure from Bayern has been anticipated after she was seen fighting back tears while thanking the club's fans after a victory over Bayer Leverkusen recently.
It was reported in December that the German women's top flight was set to lose one of its leading forwards. Per multiple sources, all the paperwork for the move have now been completed.
Reliable Goalscoring to Boost United's Attack
The 28-year-old’s signing is expected to provide a significant uplift to United’s forward line. She has been highly reliable in front of goal in Germany’s top flight.
- Over seven straight seasons, including the most recent campaign, she reached at least a double-digit tally of league goals.
- She claimed the Golden Boot in the 2021-22 season with 16 goals.

The acquisition of the German international comes at a time when United seem to be building momentum.
